Florida
law prohibits disposal of used oil/transmission filters in
a landfill or in any trash destined for a landfill.
Used oil filters can be recycled through a state
registered used oil filter processor. Your uncrushed
oil fiters will be brought to U.S. Foundry which is a Part
B RCRA permitted facility. All drums will be opened and
dumped on a draining table. This is to allow
for further draining and crushing. It also allows
for quality control check of the contents of each barrel.
From this point the filters will be taken to a foundry
where they are melted down and used to make products such
as rebar, manhole covers, etc.
